Groups you define, not a fixed list
Family, Friends, Colleagues and Others are only the starting set — rename them or add your own. Every guest carries one, and that single field decides which invitation they see.
Because routing reads the group, not the guest, a colleague added three weeks before the day inherits the colleagues' invitation the moment you file them under it.
How a guest gets the right one
Each guest's personalized link — the one sent with their WhatsApp invitation — knows who they are, so it opens their group's invitation with their name already in it.
Your public link is the deliberate exception: it ignores groups and always opens your Default invitation — the one you'd paste into a story or a group chat.
And that link stays with them
Routing only means something if the link reaches the person it was addressed to, so each link is claimed by the first device that opens it. Forward it and the next person gets a privacy notice, not the version you wrote for that circle.
Without it, a formal family invitation forwarded into a friends' chat is just the wrong invitation opened by the wrong people. Your public link stays exempt — that one is meant to be passed around.
Guests change phones, and you'll open a link or two yourself while testing. Releasing one is a click on that guest's row, and there's a Reset all.
Genuinely different, not just re-worded
A version is a whole invitation, so two groups can differ by more than a greeting: a formal design for family and something playful for university friends, an after-party section only for the people invited, a different arrival time per group.
Every version still reads your couple details live, so moving the date updates all of them at once. You're maintaining one wedding, not four.
Slots and limits
Up to 18 invitations in total — deliberately more than most couples' group count, because drafts, alternate designs and one-off variants each take a slot.
One invitation per group is live at a time. Setting a new one replaces the previous one, and the page tells you which.
